Hey, it’s Holly Jaye, the creator of Planet Ginger!

I am an aspiring author who has a heart full of adventure and stories. I graduated college with a Bachelor’s in English Creative Writing and hope to one day become a published author.

I grew up on Disney fairytales and my family often vacationed to the Disney Parks, so one day, I decided to apply to the Disney College Program and got accepted! In the fall of 2018, I moved down to Orlando, Florida to work at Walt Disney World where I learned so much about the company and planning people’s vacations.

I fell in love with working for the mouse, so when I graduated college in 2019, I found myself booking another one-way ticket to Orlando in hopes to stay and work my way up in the Disney Parks. Unfortunately, the beginning of my second Disney College Program was January of 2020.

Well, we all know what happened in 2020.

Needless to say, my life took an unexpected turn and my program came to an abrupt end. After the parks decided to open back up again, the company reached out to offer the Disney college participants who had their programs cut short a chance to come back, but I declined.

At that point in my life, I had a lot of other things going on and the choice was hard, but I couldn’t pack up my life and leave for a third time with such uncertainty in the world.

BUT

Then came this blog!

I wanted to create a place where I can talk about all the things I love, plus share my knowledge and passion for travel, the Disney Parks, and literature with others. And that’s how www.planetginger.com got created!

On my blog, you will find an array of travel advice, bucket list locations, Disney park guides, Disney travel hacks, my latest book recommendations, writing updates, writing techniques, and so much more.
